Styled Shoot Part 1: Pink and Grey

Last month we hosted a Florida Citrus inspired styled shoot in Winter Garden, Fl.  While searching for the right venue, we came across The Garden Chateau, a private home which is also available for weddings and private functions.   During our walk through with Mindy and Steffani, we fell in love with the soft grey and white color scheme on the main floor and the grand staircase in the foyer.  We felt a strong pull to showcase the soft, neutral colors inside, but also loved the traditional Florida look of the pool area outside.  With two such different looks, we made the decision to split our shoot in two.

We enlisted the help of two photographers, one to shoot inside and one to shoot at the pool area.  By doing this we were able to showcase two completely different looks at one venue, still incorporating Florida Citrus into the theme.  Leah Jean Photography was the Pink and Grey photographer.

For the pink and grey portion of the shoot, which was photographed completely in the foyer of the building, we gave our stationer, Dogwood Blossom Stationery, free rein to come up with paper goods that would incorporate citrus without using any of the traditional citrus colors.  The invitations, menu cards, escort cards and table numbers were all done in soft pink and grey colors, with vintage orange blossom illustrations.

Cloth Connection provided us with their stunning Pewter/Silver Floral Bouquet overlay and grey matte satin underlay for our “guest table”.  Kirby Rentals provided light pink satin linens with grey sashes for the cocktail tables as well as a gorgeous light pink satin underlay and white elegant pearl and lace overlay for the cake table.  A Chair Affair provided tables and chiavari chairs for both inside and outside shoots, chargers, candelabras and the fabulous mirrored cake table.  Bluegrass Chic worked their magic to bring in soft, romantic flowers in shades of blush, pink and white.  The stunning cake with crystal and lace embellishments was provided by Party Flavors Custom Cakes.

Our beautiful models were pampered and styled by Jasmine Santiago and Michele Rosado of Brides Be Beautiful, and beautiful they were!  Model Cindy wore a Maggie Sottero (Victoriana) gown from a private collection as well as Mori Lee and  Jasmine Bridal gowns from Modern Bridal Shop.  Model Mykayla wore an adorable one shoulder bridesmaids dress by Mori Lee, also from Modern Bridal Shop.

Of course any styled shoot is a lot of hard work and effort on everyone’s part, but we always try to make time for fun and laughter!

Please check back soon for part two of our styled shoot, when we feature our citrus colored designs by the pool, photographed by Clearly In Focus Photography!

It was my pleasure to work with such professional vendors. We took a chance with the weather, and I think it turned out fantastic. I can not wait to see “Part 2” of your blog.
