We had the honor of being selected to style a vineyard inspired photo shoot yesterday. The private working vineyard, located in Central Florida, provided a stunning backdrop for our set tables and the gorgeous “bride” and “groom”.
The venue – although they used to host weddings there in the past, and no longer does so – has been in the business of making wine since 1989. The main building design is a mix of old Florida and Tuscany. But it’s the acres of vineyards that drew the photographer of the day, Tod Thompson of Tod Thompson Photography, to the site.
Sitting on a hilltop, overlooking the rolling hills of Central Florida, the vineyards seem to go on forever. If you catch the day just right, the sunset seems to align itself perfectly with the wide “aisle” that runs down the center of the vineyard.
The weather cooperated beautifully with us (outside shoots can be a little tricky in Central Florida) and we were treated to sunny skies, temperatures in the low 80’s and a wonderfully cool breeze blowing from the hilltop.
The floral designs for the “rustic table” by Michelle of Bluegrass Chic were simply stunning in whites, the palest greens and blush. Her styling techniques enabled us to capture the perfect look for that table! Michelle also provided the stunning bride’s bouquet as well.
Jelli from Peplum Events & Design provided the florals for the “elegant table”. Her combinations of eucalyptus, purple and silver roses, and other floral and styling elements gave this table the elegant vineyard look we were after!
All of the stationery was custom designed by Denise of Dogwood Blossom Stationery. For the “rustic table” Denise was able to incorporate the design of the accent plates into the menu cards and invitations. Her wine label inspired paper goods for the “elegant table” were just the perfect touch of refined elegance!
Three beautiful cakes were provided for the shoot by Lola of Sweet Lola’s Cake Pops. We were in love with all three designs – the ombre cake was beautiful and the three tiered ruffled cake was just stunning!
Of course our tables wouldn’t have existed if it wasn’t for the generosity of Ann Taylor of A Chair Affair, who loaned us her custom made farm tables and benches. These tables were the perfect rustic, yet elegant look for our inspired shoot! Ann also provided the church pews for the “ceremony” portion of the shoot. We just loved the look of the pews with the vineyards in the background.
Our models looked stunning in their wedding attire. Hair and makeup was provided by Rosa Torres, and the bride’s GORGEOUS (Pronovias) wedding gowns were provided by Modern Bridal Shop.
SWAG Decor graciously provided a beautiful crystal chandelier for the shoot (that our photographer so bravely climbed into a tree to hang!), Kirby Rentals provided linens, and Dream Vision Pictures provided videography.
We are anxiously awaiting the professional images and video, however, until then, here’s a sneak peek at what we were able to take with our camera while the photographer was taking his shots!
